Stack ’em and Count ’em!
Many brilliant mainstream format programmers contact me wanting to zero in on the rotation of their cream of the crop Power songs and fully understand the scheduling pattern of the standard card file method in MusicMaster. Little known fact, you can establish the desired slot position, trace the slot, and even visually see AutoBurn in real time by creating a text field that serves as a numbering system for your Power Currents.

Music Scheduling: Filter the Flow
By: Chris Malone
At times, programmers will ask how to enforce a specific sound attribute at a specific position within the clock. For example, an Urban AC programmer may want to start the hour with a R&B sound attribute to establish a smooth R&B flow, right out of the gate. Here are my top 10 takeaway from the 2 day mega conference.
- The average listener doesn’t come to you every day. There’s shocking research that exposed the reality that your ‘super listener’ may visit your station 3 out of 5 days and your casual listeners may only tune in 1-2 days a week. Read the rest of this entry
Radio listeners just want to have fun!

Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point listening family!
As an On-Air Personality, Program Director, and Consultant, I’ve always preached and lived by the philosophy that the core role of an on-air personality is to be able to communicate, connect, and reflect with great enthusiasm. It’s truly rewarding when an on-air personality can break through the noise and become apart of the fabric of the listener’s life.
These listeners made a clear choice and consistently vote up the #1 afternoon drive show (Adults 35-54) in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point market!
